Job Title: Senior Specialist Electronics Technician (Transmission Tech)

Responsibilities:

1.       Perform, operation, construction, maintenance and repair WORK associated with electronic equipment in a wide range of communications systems.

2.       Be familiar with and able to work in any part of the system; shall be a specialist in at least Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Fiber Optic, Microwave systems and Digital multiplex.  

3.       Provide first level and module level maintenance and support for communications equipment.

4.       Preventive Maintenance, Trouble Tickets, Service Orders, PMT (Project Management Team) Support, Callout Duty, General Housekeeping, and Equipment Cleaning.

5.       Be able to perform the duties associated with the Data Technician. The WORK shall include, without limitation:

·         Fault finding, trouble shooting and minor equipment repair.

·         Disconnecting, relocating installing and adjusting equipment.

·         Re-configuring, modifying and upgrading equipment.

·         Performing initial tests and Preventive / Corrective Maintenance inspections and installing SAUDI ARAMCO approved operating systems.

·         Performing complex fault isolation diagnostic tests to determine problem areas when equipment fails and ensuring the equipment performs in accordance with its local operating specifications.

·        Operating computer oriented network systems using Fiber Optic/Microwave/Multiplex software. Installing new software releases, upgrades and updates.

·         Perform the maintenance and support of all digital and analog Transmission equipment (SDH, OTN, FOAS and Fiber Optics)

·         Conduct troubleshooting activities of voice and data circuits (OSPAS, GMC, WAN, Data, etc) to link various Switching and Data Network Equipment. This includes but is not limited to the reconfiguration, mapping, rewiring of new special circuits, etc.

·         Perform Transmission link testing activities of various types of bandwidth  circuits (64Khz,2Mbps,155Mbps,2.4Gbps,etc.

·         Perform preventive maintenance for Backbone Transmission System, and Fiber links.

·         Use & perform testing on OTDR & power meters for fiber cable test.

Experience: shall have a minimum of Five (5) years experience in recognized international or national communications operating companies, installing, operating, maintaining and repairing communications and electronic equipment including SDH Fiber Optics and Microwave Systems and digital multiplex equipment; shall be familiar with the operation of a PC with an emphasis on windows based programs; shall have a working knowledge of telephone switching and data communication networks. Job Title: Switching Technician

Responsibilities:

1.       Perform complex Preventive and Corrective Maintenance and repairs of highly complex voice and data digital switching network and peripheral equipment.

2.       Provide first level and module level maintenance and support for network and peripheral equipment including management alert and conferencing equipment.

3.       Be a specialist in at least the SL-1 Meridian. 

4.       Be able to perform tests with other technicians on the multiplex. 

5.       Be familiar with and able to work on OSP fiber optic cable and perform the duties associated with the Telephone I&R Technician and be able to assist in the duties of the OSP Technician.  The WORK shall include, without limitation:

·         Fault finding, trouble shooting and minor equipment repair.

·         Reconfiguring, modifying and upgrading hardware and peripheral equipment as per engineering packages.

·         Performing software system backups, routines, software changes and implementing engineering packages.

Experience: shall have minimum of Five (5) years experience in recognized communications operating companies, in operating, maintaining and repairing a wide variety of digital data and voice switches; shall have experience in the installation and maintenance of customer data and telephone equipment. Knowledge of outside plant cabling and of other digital switching systems will be an advantage.

Preferably experienced in the following equipments:

Job Title: Data Technician

Responsibilities:
Provide first level maintenance and support for communication equipment including, but not limited to, data communications units, modems, data assemblies for area networks, information interfaces such as EDP terminals, computer systems for monitor/control of data networks, twisted pair, coaxial and LAN cables, data and voice cables and facsimile machines.  Familiar with CISCO Routers, ATM switches and Dial up networking; shall be conversant on IP routing protocols.  The WORK shall include, but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance and support for HF/FM/VHF/UHF radios consisting of first level and module level maintenance on radios including mobile, pagers, hand-held, desktop, repeaters and base stations and first level module maintenance on multi-channel recorders and consoles. The WORK shall include, without limitation:

1.      Diagnosing the problem and repair equipment.

2.      Disconnecting, relocating, installing, aligning and adjusting equipment.
